The club has announced that as from Sunday, 16th November 2003 tickets for this showdown, were already on sale at the Computicket outlets nationally.
Speaking from his offices in Naturena, club spokesperson, Putco Mafani said it was important that the club avails the highly demanded tickets as early as possible to alleviate late hour congestion.
"Everyone is quite aware of the high magnitude this game will be and the interest it has generated, and from a security point of view, we are leaving nothing to chance and we plead with all soccer loving fans to buy tickets now, as they have already begun moving fast. It almost feels like a Cup final already. The Cup fever has caught the entire country, and we are anxious about people’s safety," said a concerned Mafani.
Mafani said all computicket outlets are already buzzing, 2 on the Garden Route, 15 in Cape Town, 4 in the North West Province, 4 in Port Elizabeth, 1 in East London, 11 in KZN, 8 in Pretoria, 28 in Johannesburg are and another one at the Amakhosi Shop, Ghandi Square, Jhb. Supporters’ branches are encouraged to assist each other in terms of access to the limited outlets.
With thousands of people going to the FNB stadium for what can be termed "The Final before the Final" entertainment line up of this event is already finalized, with Coca Cola Cup artist Nkanyiso, TK and Tokollo taking the crowds with the tournament theme song "The Real thing" - and tournament ambassador Loyiso Bala will also dazzle the crowds with his dynamic voice.
Toping the bill of performers will be former TKZ talent and artist of the year, Kabelo who’s already a darling with the Chiefs crowds. He will be performing alongside Mahoota of the Trompies fame and the new sensational Skwata Camp, making a new revelation to soccer crowds with their Hip Hop sounds.
As part of entertainment Kaizer Chiefs U-13 will clash with Wits U-13 at 1pm in a curtain raiser game to be viewed as "starters" for the main event.
All this and so much more has been packaged for the soccer fans just for R20 adults and R10 juveniles and gates will open at 10H00 on the day with DJ Jabzin from CJ Sounds playing music to keep the momentum pumping.
