The Kimberly-born right-back was at his best as the Glamour Boys sent Platinum Stars packing at Loftus Stadium last Wednesday and he did a credible job against Celtic dangerman, Mark Mayambela on Saturday night.
“It was important that we take our game to another level as a team and really it is not about me,” he told kaizerchiefs.com on Monday afternoon putting the spotlight away from himself.
“All of us realized that we have a responsibility to our supporters to carry our duties with pride and that resulted in us climbing the Absa Premiership table. We are not putting ourselves under pressure though and we continue taking one game at a time.
We are coming up against Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday but I know people want us to talk about the game we playing over the weekend. It is important we focus on Ajax then the next game.”
Jimmy admitted to kaizerchiefs.com that he struggled a lot to get to his best after encountering personal problems.
“I struggled a lot but when my mother died last May instead of dropping my head I gathered strength from it because I knew that it was always her dream to see my play in the elite league.”
“Taranga” as EL Capitan is known to kaizerchiefs.com also paid tribute to Club’s faithful who have been coming in numbers in support of the team.
“We have noticed that our fans have come out in numbers in the past couple of games and we continue to appreciate their support.
We are hoping that the trend is going to continue as we approach the 40th Anniversary in 2010,” he added.
