Jimmy Tau should be ready to resume play in a week or two Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic has revealed.
Tau was forced to re-join the team after three weeks due to bereavement in the family and has not featured since the resumption of the second round; “Jimmy (Tau) was three weeks behind other players as he reported back late from camp following the passing away of his sister. He has been working on a program and should be back in a week”
Tau over the weekend travelled together with teammates, Itumeleng Khune, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Reneilwe Letsholonyane to give support to the team in Nelspruit on Saturday.
Commenting on the game the Serbian expressed his disappointment after the team failed to close the gap on log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns who were held on a draw by Moroka Swallows on Friday evening.
“We missed a perfect opportunity to close the game between us and the leading pack. I think we started well scoring inside the first five minutes of the game. Once again we created lot of opportunities that we did not convert on the day. We will keep working on the training grounds to become better.
The Glamour Boys change their focus this coming weekend to Nedbank Cup where they will be meeting Vodacom outfit, Cape Town All Stars.
Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com VV said the team is not taking the assignment lightly, “Our aim this season is to improve to what has happened over the season. We are not taking the game against All Stars lightly as we have seen how the teams lift up their game when they meet Kaizer Chiefs. We have spent the past couple of days doing our homework on them and we are not taking this assignment lightly,” said Vermezovic.
