Head Coach, Stuart Baxter will have an opportunity once more to test drive his charges on Saturday, 27 July 2013 when the Amakhosi come face to face with archrivals Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup.

The Glamour Boys successfully defended the annual preseason Gauteng Football Cup sending Bloemfontein Celtic packing with a 4-1 drubbing.

“It is a massive game for us and we all know what the Soweto Derby means to the fans," said Baxter.

“I felt we played really well last season but we still lost the game. In the bigger perspective of things the result did not mean that much as we still had a great start in the season. We are going to give our best for a better result this time around.

"We are getting an opportunity to play a competitive game before the start of the season and once again we will be able to see how far our preparations have gone since we reported for camp on June 28.”

Stuart Baxter has been involved in three Soweto Derbies since joining the Glamour Boys at the beginning of last season drawing both games in the league during 2012/2013 season and was on the losing side when Amakhosi lost on a penalty shootout in the 2012 edition of the fans favourite Carling Black Label Cup.
