Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Supporters Club led by Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung was in attendance so were the players; Brent Lawler, Lucky ‘KAKA’ Khune, Dominic ‘Diski Dance’ Mateba and Thela Ngobeni.
The well attended Roadshow was also graced by schools, Gamelodi Primary School, Tshimollo Primary School and Ezazi Primary School.
Thela Ngobeni, a product of Kaizer Chiefs Development addressed the gathered crowd; “We are delighted to be here in Mamelodi today. It is for the first time that I have been here and I must admit that it is humbling to see all of you here today.
"Thank you for the support that you have given us this season and over the years. This is a moral boost as we have been going through a bad patch on the field. We know that you are behind us and this we appreciate.
The Katlehong born goalkeeper also urged the children to know their status; “It is World Aids Day today and I want to urge you not be ignorant. Know your status. We love you and I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best during the festive season. Spend time with your families.
Ngobeni added that the Amakhosi Festive Vibe is also an opportunity to show the fans that ‘Kaizer Chiefs cares’; “It is not all about the games. There is a social responsibility element that the Club has to take care of and hence you see partners, Hollard involved. We were excited when the campaign as it presented us as players an opportunity to interact with you as a supporter.
The fans who came in numbers won Kaizer Chiefs hampers, Hollard/Kaizer Chiefs Insurance Products, signed up for membership and had an opportunity to buy authentic Kaizer Chiefs merchandise.
