Willard ‘Cheese & Onion’ Katsande has said that they will be treating the last couple of games like cup finals ahead of the top of the table Absa Premiership encounter against Platinum Stars in Polokwane.

The Glamour Boys are currently sitting on top of the league standings with 55 points followed by Platinum Stars who are on 49 points.

“It is an important game for us and our ambitions this season,” Katsande told kaizerchiefs.com just before the training session at the Club HQ in Naturena on Friday morning.

“We are treating this game as a cup final something that we have always done this season. We are going to give our best and fight for maximum points. We are aware of the kind of opposition Platinum Stars is and they will once again come out strongly on Sunday.

“They beat us the last time we met so they will be full of confidence. We just need to concentrate on our game plan and play the game we know. It is a home game so we cannot allow visitors to dictate terms in our own backyard.

Katsande, who has been a regular this season under the tutelage of Stuart Baxter, added that they will play their normal game until the final game of the season; “We are not being distracted by the analysts and some of the opposition coaches that have been saying we have won the league.

“Our obligation as professionals is to go to games and play to win and it will not be any different on Sunday against Platinum Stars,” added Katsande.

Meanwhile tickets for the game are still selling at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers countrywide for R40 adults.

The Club is calling all their supporters to get to the stadium on time and paint the stadium gold and black. There will be entertainment line-up before and during halftime of the game.
