Kaizer Chiefs will throw records out of the window when they square up with SuperSport United in a high profile Absa Premiership encounter at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, 10 November 2012; kickoff is at 20h15.
The two Clubs who remain unbeaten in the league this season have met 43 times since 1990 with SuperSport United recording 17 victories while the Glamour Boys have won 14 games, 12 games have been drawn between the two sides.
The ninth placed SuperSport United played to a 2 all draw midweek against Chippa United while Chiefs cruised to a 3-0 win against Golden Arrows.
Corporate Communications Manager Vina Maphosa speaking to kaizerchiefs.com commented; “Records mean nothing to us going into this fixture against SuperSport United.
“We were in Polokwane early this week for our game against Golden Arrows and we have mobilised our branches to come in numbers to support the team on Saturday. We will make it uncomfortable for SuperSport United on the stands and finish the job on the pitch,” said Maphosa with supreme confidence.
The Glamour Boys remain on top of the Absa Premiership; “Preparations for the game have gone very well. The Coach has confirmed that Bernard Parker who missed the midweek fixture will be available for the game on Saturday which alone is a boost for us. The further boost was winning the Q-1 of the newly launched PSL Q-Innovation.
“SuperSport United is a side with a pedigree having won the league a couple of times under the mentorship of Gavin Hunt. We will give them the respect they deserve. They have a superior record against us but that will mean nothing on Saturday.
“I would like to call on all Amakhosi fans to come in numbers as that rubs off onto the players on the pitch. It was the same on Tuesday when we painted the stadium gold and black. Let’s do it again; come all and Reclaim The Glory with us,” added Maphosa.
