Coach Stuart Baxter was full of praise for the gutsy performance displayed by his lads when they marched on to record their seventh consecutive win in the Absa Premiership.

"This was a fine display of football by the two teams that are competing for the Championship. Even the neutrals would have been pleased to watch an exciting game of football tonight," said Baxter.

"I thought we played well in the first half. We played well on the ball. In the second half they played with the ball and their possession football was great coupled with our defenders making horrendous decisions. At the end of the day the game was exciting and I am happy with the three points that we got from the game," continued Baxter.

"In the 2nd half we committed a lot of errors in defense. Our transitions were not concentrated. We expected the pressure from a good side like Sundowns. Hopefully this result will get us back to the momentum that we've spoken about before the game," commented Baxter.

"We scored via an own goal from a set play and that was during a critical phase of the game. It doesn't mean when strikers don't score they are useless. Sometimes you score and sometimes you don't score. Their goalkeeper made a last minute save from Musona's close range shot. Khune also made some brilliant saves during the game," said Baxter.
