"It's for Sundowns to lose it," these were the words of Coach Baxter summing up his Team's performances after a disappointing 1-all draw to Free State Stars.
Polokwane - Kaizer Chiefs played to a 1-all draw against a determined Free State Stars at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday night.
Is the league surrendered tonight?
Coach Baxter stopped shot of conceding the Championship to Mamelodi Sundowns, "It will take a total disaster for Sundowns to lose the league. They will surely feel disappointed if that was to happen. If they lose it now, they will have given away a Championship especially that we have not brought too much pressure to bare on them," Baxter said at a Mix Zone after the match.
Where to now?
"We have important games to play. I told the players that they should not feel sorry that they are disappointed, because that's how it is, disappointing. The players will have to be motivated and must show dedication to play in the next games," commented a visibly disappointed Baxter.
How will you lift up the lads to perform in the next game?
"We are all professionals and that's why we are employed to do this job. It is that time where we will have to do the job to the best of our ability," said Baxter.
Coach Baxter refused to give fatigue as an excuse to describe his Team's performances lately.
The Amakhosi (57) trail behind Mamelodi Sundowns (61) by four points with two games to go.
Chiefs will now focus their attention at retaining the Nedbank Cup when they tackle Bidvest Wits in the semifinal game on Saturday.
