Mototo who has been a revelation at left back for Chiefs since making his full debut for the Amakhosi in early December once again put in a workman like performance against the Russians. He was unfortunate during the penalty shootout when his spot kick beat the keeper but ricochet off the post.
Mototo will be out of action for the rest of the week after doing some damage to his left hamstring and should restart training on Friday. At this stage it is still unclear if he will be able to play for Chiefs in a proposed friendly game, which the Amakhosi have pencilled in for some time this coming weekend.
Thabo Mooki is still out of action and is also expected to return to full training by the end of the week, Emile Baron has returned to join the rest of the squad after missing training for most of last week with a thigh strain. The injury kept him out of the game against FC Moscow - he has returned to training this week and is expected to be training with the rest of team on Wednesday.
Chiefs are playing an invitation team in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.
