Sthembiso Ngcobo has paid a glowing tribute to Head Coach, Stuart Baxter after the KwaZulu/Natal born striker scored his first goal of the season, 2012/2013 in the Nedbank last 16 against Polokwane City on Saturday, 16 April 2013 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Ngcobo who has only made appearances as a substitute this season, made his first start on Saturday grabbing the first of the two goals in the game with a neat finish after a masterminded defence crippling pass from Siyabonga Nkosi.

"I would love to thank the Coach and the entire Technical Team for the support. The Coach has been encouraging; he spoke to me about the competition in the team. The other strikers have been doing well and it has been difficult for me to break into the team," said Ngcobo

'Valdez' as Ngcobo is known to Amakhosi Faithful was also delighted to score his first goal in his province of birth, KwaZulu Natal.

"It feels good to score in front of my family, my friends and the people who supported me while growing up. I also want to thank my teammates. We are united and hopefully together we can achieve more this season," added Ngcobo.
