Kaizer Chiefs have revealed their new signing for this January transfer window. William Nkululeko Twala arrived at Naturena on Thursday morning and he says, “Last night I slept for only three hours,” the 25 year old attacking midfielder arrived from Chippa United. “I had butterflies in my stomach and was teary upon receiving the news of this move.”

The Soweto-born, former Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows player reflects further, “I didn’t know what to do let alone believe what I was hearing. It is a unique feeling and something different. I am looking forward to contribute and bring something different to the team.”

David Zulu joined by Sibongiseni Ngcobo returns to Chippa United on a short transfer until the end of the season as part of the deal. This was revealed by Football Manager Bobby Motaung, “We want David and Sibongiseni to get a guaranteed game time,” explains Motaung. “The duo will get an opportunity to compete at high level. David has been plagued by injuries this season and will use this opportunity to get his rhythm back. And as for Siboniseni, he’s a youngster and needs experience.”

“It adds quality to our wingers,” enthuses Head Coach Steve Komphela. “His addition will create a healthy competition in the middle of the park. He has great qualities, speed and technical abilities are his trademarks.”

Twala also had a stint at FC AK in the National First Division and Komphela remembers, “I started following him back in 2011 when he played for FC AK. We welcome him, but then this is Chiefs. It is important for him to get support, start well and hit the ground running. He will need to align with the Chiefs way. Hard work, humility and dedication will fit him perfectly in Chiefs culture.”

“I am unique,” emphasises Twala. “I am dedicated to grow in my career. I will give my all to do what has never been done before at Chiefs.”

Twala penned a two year deal with the Glamour Boys.
