Kaizer Chiefs is in the process of identifying the best talent in the land following the dismantling of both the Under-13 and Under-15 teams two years ago due to age cheating.
“We had an impressive turn out for the Under-13 kids on Sunday and as coaches we were impressed with the talent that was at our disposal on the day,” said the veteran Coach speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Tuesday morning.
''The challenge we are experiencing now is that the children come from as far away as Springs, Nigel and so on and the United Nations is very clear that children need to be as close to home as possible. We have selected most of the children to come back for more assessment and we currently talking to Bidvest Wits University for friendly games.”
We will have to make a decision, though, on how we are going to accommodate children who are not from the surrounding areas. We might again be forced to take children who are closer to our base, but this decision will be made in due course,” added Sephoa.
Trials for the Under-15s are currently underway today (Tuesday, June 15, 2010) at Shaft 17.
