Punch Masenamela made his official debut for the Glamour Boys against Maritzburg United last season back in January this year and the match against “Team of Choice” holds special memories for the young left back.

“I remember the game like it was yesterday. I remember being nervous as a wreck but it helped that we won the game,” recalled Punch.

“Then I was just happy to release the ball to my teammates but the previous coach calmed me down and I started to play my normal game. That game will always hold special memories in my heart,” he said.

Punch has done well so far this season having cemented his place in the team from the preseason.

“It is a dream of each and every player to play week in week out. I am happy that the coach has given me an opportunity to showcase what I can offer for the team. I am going to continue working hard though as the competition in the team is very tough,” said Masenamela.

The Glamour Boys welcome Maritzburg United on Saturday and Punch has told kaizerchiefs.com that it will be important to win the game.

“Looking at training this week the guys looked confident and I am convinced that we can bring three points to Naturena,” concluded Masenamela.

The Glamour Boys have an upper hand in this fixture having won three games out of six fixtures and the 6-1 drubbing in December 2006 being the memorable one. Maritzburg United have only registered two victories against Amakhosi while one match ended in a draw.
