Gould, will play no further part in this campaign after injuring his knee against Golden Arrows on 6 April 2013. He is due to start training in a month's time.
"I see this injury as an opportunity for any of my teammates to lift their hand and stand up to be counted rather than a setback," said Gould speaking to kaizerchiefs.com at his home where he was enjoying the company of his two boys, Olwethu (5) and Thando (3).
"We have lots of quality in the team and everyone is replaceable. I have full confidence in my teammates and the Technical Team that we will stand the test of time despite the challenges we have experienced this season.
"It was encouraging to see the guys fighting gallantly as we beat Bloemfontein Celtic in the cup and against Moroka Swallows where we showed character coming from behind to win the league game.
Gould missed six months earlier in the season after injuring his Achilles tendon.
"I have always looked at my life like a candle as he points out at a candle at his house. The light of a candle is very powerful and at times even if the wind tries to blow it away it stands the test of time.
"I will again bounce stronger than I've ever been before. My one plea is for the supporters not to feel sorry for me but to continue wearing their gold and black, sing their songs, fill the stands and rally behind the team - we are in this together," concluded Gould.
