Absa Premeirship winning captain, Itumeleng Khune has said that they want to finish the season on high and they will not rest on their laurels until the Nedbank Cup final.
Regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers to grace South African football, Khune won his second league title with the Club.
"I won the league as a youngster back in 2004/5 and now I am a champion again.
"I want to take this opportunity and thank everyone at the Village, all the Departments, the ladies who make tea, cleaners, staff, groundsmen, the Technical Team and the supporters who stood by us throughout the season....this is for you.
"We also worked hard as players and credit to each and everyone in the team.
The Captain was quick to point out that there is a lot of ground to be covered before everyone can rest on their laurels.
"We have a very important game against Tuks in Mbombela on Saturday 18 May. The supporters will see a different Chiefs. It is important to end the season on a high note.
"We came here to win today but a point was enough for us to win the title. The point is not good enough and we have to fight for three points on Saturday before we can start thinking about Nedbank Cup final," added Khune.
