Stuart Baxter has warned his charges that there is a long way before they can think about winning the Premiership following an emphatic 3-1 victory away to Moroka Swallows on Saturday evening.

The Glamour Boys came from a goal down to beat the Birds through a brace coming from the boot of the current leading goal scorer Bernard ‘Hond’ Parker and a neat finish from George ‘WhatsUp’ Lebese.

The win consolidated Kaizer Chiefs lead on the top of the Absa Premiership with 55 points and will go into the next league fixture (Sunday, 28 April 2013 in at Peter Mokaba Stadium) against Platinum Stars with six points difference between the two sides.

“We started slowly as we allowed Swallows to dominate our box until they scored the first goal. We played better after that and we managed to pull one goal back.

“We played really well in the second half and dominated the game. I was enormously pleased with the performance. It was really a mental test for the players. We won today, played really good football and I am proud of the players,” continued Baxter speaking after the Soweto Derby.

The Briton refused to get carried away though; “There is still lot of football to be played and we cannot afford to get ahead of ourselves. We have to continue to focus on each game and give 100%. There are no guarantees in football. We have to continue giving our best until the final league game.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys have lost once in the league this season against Platinum Stars the team they will be welcoming this coming Sunday.

“It is once again a massive game for us and I am sure for different factors the players will be very motivated going to this game,” added Baxter.
