Stuart Baxter insisted that the Club has a strong enough squad to challenge for honours this season following a categorical 3-1 victory over Black Leopards at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday, 20 February 2013.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys went to the game without the services of George Lebese (fractured collar bone out for eight weeks), Eric Mathoho (infected tissue on his elbow) and Lehlohonolo Majoro (suspended) with Tsepo Masilela starting on the bench.

Morgan Gould returned from injury in the absence of Eric Mathoho, Mandla Masango was deployed on the right, Man of the Match Keegan Ritchie being slotted on the left-back while Lucky Baloyi came for the bench to score a third goal from the Glamour Boys.

A visibly pleased Baxter told kaizerchiefs.com after the game; "I am very pleased for the squad. This game demonstrated once more the depth we have in the team.

"We came here missing a couple of players due to injuries and suspension but the lads did very well out there and we still had Lucky (Baloyi) who came off the bench to score the third goal for us.

Back to the game, Baxter paid tribute to his charges and was pleased with the three points on the road; "We started the game very well and put Leopards on the back foot early on. We seem to have the game in control when we scored but took the foot off the pedal a bit.

"We allowed them to play balls in dangerous areas. I would have wanted to go to the dressing room at halftime leading 1-0 but then they scored an equaliser.

"We had to change things around in the second half where we played better. We are all delighted to come here and return to Johannesburg with three points. I am happy for the squad.

The lads have been working hard in the past couple of weeks but we will continue working and fight for a win in each and every game we play," added Baxter.
