Defender Tefu Mashamaite was defiant following a 1-0 defeat by Orlando Pirates on Saturday in the first leg of MTN8 semifinal and optimistic that the Team will bounce back in the second leg.
The Glamour Boys conceded early in the game through a free kick from the boot of Dane Klate but came back strongly in the second half with Bernard Parker hitting the post while Knowledge Musona and Siphiwe Tshabalala came close, forcing saves from Pirates' goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa.
“It was a psychological battle where Pirates pilled the pressure early on in the game. It was a case of not talking and communicating well and they took advantage of that. They got an early goal but we did well coming back into the game especially in the second half.
We have lost a battle not a war. I still believe we can go out and undo the result when we meet again on the 24th of September. This game is not over,” added Mashamaite.
