Bafana Bafana Captain, Itumeleng Khune believes that Botswana will have a point to prove ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifier in Durban on Saturday, 7 September 2013.
Itumeleng Khune together with his club teammates, Bernard Parker, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Tsepo Masilela reported for duty on Sunday and travelled to Durban on Monday where they will be taking on Botswana.
Bafana Bafana need to beat Botswana (the first leg ended 1 all) and hope that group rivals Ethiopia fail to win against Central African Republic in Brazzaville.
“Botswana have improved tremendously in the past couple of years and had a fantastic run that led to them qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations held here earlier this year.
“They have very good players - some plying their trade in the PSL.
“They will want to come to Moses Mabhida and cause an upset. We cannot take them lightly and we will need to give it our all and win the game.
“We are playing at home and we need to win the game and you never know what might happen,” said Khune.
“We are all looking forward to a great match and we are hoping to attack them from the first minute and dominate the game,” added Khune.
Kickoff for the game is at 15h00.
