2013 Nedbank Cup champions Amakhosi head to the north to begin the defence of their title when they face Black Leopards at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday, 23 February 2014, kick-off at 15h00.

"It is going to be important for us to switch focus. We have a good squad that can handle the pressure. Physically and mentally we are ready for Leopards," said Khune referring to the focus of his Team playing in back to back Psl League, Nedbank Cup and CAF Champions League matches.

"Leopards have played in the PSL in the past, unfortunately lately their games have not been televised and we don't know much about their play. Our Technical Team will do the homework on them," said Khune.

"We will defend our cup and we have all what it takes to defend it. We have to respect the teams but we want to see ourselves in the final," said the Chiefs' skipper.

"We changed the perception of losing to the so-called smaller teams by beating Polokwane City (then in NFD) and United FC. We have an experienced Team and we have played at the higher levels and we can't afford any complacency to creep in our Team," commented Khune.

"Playing in Polokwane is like playing at home for us. Peter Mokaba is our happy hunting ground. We know our supporters will fill the stadium on Sunday. I can't forget to thank them (Supporters) for the way they supported us, we really appreciate that," commented the reigning SA Sports Star of the Year, Khune.

In the cup meetings, Chiefs have reasons to be confident as they raked three outright wins from as many matches, seven goals for and just one conceded against Leopards.

In fact, the teams’ most recent knockout meeting arrived in the 2012 Nedbank Cup in a Last 16 clash that Amakhosi won 4-0 away from home.
