Reneilwe Letsholonyane has warned that despite the semifinals being played on a home and away basis, the Team will be going all out for a win on Saturday, 24 August 2013 when they come face to face with archrivals, Orlando Pirates at FNB, kickoff is at 15h00.
Affectionately known as ‘Yeye’ in football circles, Letsholonyane, addressing the gathered media at FNB Stadium on Thursday afternoon, said he and his teammates are looking forward to what promises to be a thrilling encounter between the two Soweto giants.
“We just finished training and everyone is motivated for the game on Saturday. It is the biggest game in the South African football calendar and everyone including the supporters is looking forward to it,” said Letsholonyane.
“We respect Orlando Pirates as a team but we believe in ourselves and we are focusing on our strengths as a team going to this game. We always go out to give our best in each and every game we play and it will not be different come Saturday.”
‘Yeye’, insisted that both teams are still giving their best when it comes to the Soweto Derby; “Both sets of players go to each and every game to win and there are always a lot of factors involved in the Derby. Personally as a player and surely I speak for my teammates, we live for these games, the big stage.
We are going for a win on Saturday,” he said with supreme confidence.
The Soweto born midfielder added that he has confidence in the squad; “I am happy with the squad that has been assembled for this season.
I believe in each and every member of the team. The decision to add players to the squad is made by Management of course I think we have a team to compete for sure,” added Letsholonyane.
