We need to finish the business on Wednesday – Baxter

Stuart Baxter believes that his side will show the same “intent to win” as they showed on Saturday when they meet Black Leopards this coming Wednesday, 19 September 2012 at Soccer City Complex – kick-off 19:30.

The Glamour Boys looked like they were on their way to victory following two early goals from strikers, Bernard ‘Benito’ Parker and Kingston ‘Cijimpi’ Nkhatha before the hail storm interrupted the play forcing referee Daniel Bennet to abandon the game in the 32nd minute with the Glamour Boys 2-0 up.

“We would have loved to continue playing after the storm but then it was difficult to do so as the hail could not be removed without removing the lanes,” said Stuart Baxter.

“It is difficult when a game is postponed and rescheduled it changes our entire program but as professionals we will have to prepare now for Wednesday. Leopards were always going to be tougher and they will not be different come Wednesday as for us we need to go out and finish the business.

“The players are obviously disappointed that the game was postponed but it was due to natural cause. I am confident that they will show the same intent on the pitch come Wednesday.

Baxter said he will make a decision on whether to call on for the services of the players who missed the game on Saturday like Tshabalala and Eric Mathoho.

“We will make a decision this week but I was pleased with what I saw in the 30 minutes or so that we played and we will have to build on that,” concluded Baxter.
