Captain, Itumeleng Khune has said that he and his teammates are determined to make it four wins in a row when the Glamour Boys welcome AmaZulu at Soccer City Complex on Saturday, 19 May 2012.

The Kaizer Chiefs no. 1 was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com during the launch of Carling Black Label in Johannesburg on Monday.

“We are happy to be back to our winning ways and the match against Free State Stars showed the character and strength we have in this team,” said Khune.

Free State Stars took a lead before Siphiwe Tshabalala and Josta Dladla scored handing the boys from Phefeni a third league game win on the trot.

“Credit should go to the team for a job well done in the Free State. We never gave up and if you look at the winner you will notice that almost all departments were involved before Josta grabbed the winner.

“Our focus now is on AmaZulu; we want to make it four in a row - no doubt about it. We also want to end the season on a high note and finish as high as possible on the log.

We are now laying the foundation for the next season. Last year we also closed on a high and that helped us to have a good start in the league this season.

Khune also paid tribute to the current Technical Team led by Ace Khune; “They should be given credit for the work they have done since taking over. When we played the Nedbank game against Free State Stars they had taken over only two days before and it showed.

“Against Maritzburg United, Santos and SuperSport, the games we lost, we did well but were unlucky not to score. We are back on track now and we just need to keep our focus as AmaZulu are not going to make things easy for us.

Meanwhile Khune who appears on the Carling Black Label ad expressed his delight following the launch of the competition in in Johannesburg; “The competition brought so much excitement to the fans and I was happy to get most of the votes. It showed that the fans appreciate what I do.

“We were not happy to lose the inaugural edition against Orlando Pirates where I missed one of the penalties. Will I take a penalty again against Orlando Pirates? Yes if given an opportunity by the Technical Team, I will not mind facing either Moeneeb Josephs or Senzo Meyiwa and this time around I will do better,” he added with a smile.
