Head Coach Stuart Baxter expressed full confidence in his Team ahead of their trip to Tshwane, to face SuperSport United, in the Absa Premiership fixture. “We are going there as underdogs, that is according to public opinion but we are continuing to work hard. The players are well aware of the task that lies ahead.”

Baxter is aware of the magnitude of this game even though it is early in the season; ”SuperSport are topping the table albeit having played two game. They have invested a lot into their squad and they are an organised side. Of course we are among the teams at the top of the table and we want to stay within that touching distance.”

In terms of the state of his players after starting the season without the services of Siyabonga Nkosi and Keegan Ritchie who have both recovered from calf and Achilles tendon injuries respectively. Keegan was part of the squad when Amakhosi drew 1-1 against Moroka Swallows on Tuesday. “Siyabonga Nkosi is back as part of the squad and has been working hard with the rest of the Team. Otherwise, we are going into the game to give our all and to pick up the rhythm.” Baxter concluded.

The game is played at Lucas Moripe Stadium, Attridgeville and kickoff is at 18:00.
