Head Coach Vladimir Vermezovic has promised the team is going to give everything to bring the elusive Absa Premiership title to Naturena this season.

The Serbian was amazed to the Club’s faithful in numbers as the Glamour Boys defeated Mamelodi Sundowns in their own backyard last Sunday. Chiefs’ fans that outnumbered the home team fans sang and encouraged the players on the day.

Chiefs is currently on fourth position with 24 points after 14 games, VV said; “There is a long way to go before the last game of the season. We have not even reached a halfway stage this season. The win against Sundowns was important taking into consideration that they are also challenging for the title.

Sundowns with the quality of players they have were tough and did not make things easy for us out there. Now we have to continue with this when we meet Free State Stars at FNB on Saturday, 17th.

“It is our main goal to win the title this season. It is not good for a big Club like Chiefs to not have won the title for such a long time. We have made this our main objective this season and we going to do everything to bring the cup to Naturena.

VV also thanked the supporters for coming out in numbers on Sunday in support of the team; “I never thought the fans would turn out in such numbers. This proved that our supporters are the best in South Africa. I want to thank them for being our 12th player. I would like to urge them to continue with this spirit as we head to the two last games of the year against Free State Stars and AmaZulu in Durban,” added VV.
