Goalkeeper, Abel Metsimetsi believes that Glamour Boys will break SuperSport unbeaten record when the two sides meet at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday, 30 November 2011.

The Amakhosi who use the Peter Mokaba Stadium as their alternative home ground will this time around be visitors for the top of the table clash.

SuperSport United the only side unbeaten this season is top of the Absa Premiership with 25 points while the Glamour Boys are in third having accumulated 21 points in 11 games.

“As the team we quite aware that we have not done well lately but there is still belief in this team that we can win the league this season.

Our objective is to keep in touch with league leaders and if we beat them we will close the gap to only a point. This is possible.

The Glamour Boys did a double against SuperSport United last season but Metsimetsi insisted speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Friday morning that history will mean nothing when the two sides square up; “Previous records do not count. The most important for is to focus on our next challenge. They look stronger than last season and that is why they are top of the log.

“We will need to be mentally strong and fight for one another. This is an attitude that we need to adopt for our next coming games starting on Wednesday. Chiefs has in the past bounced back and this time it will not be different.

“From physical point of view we are well prepared. The vibe remains high in the team despite the bad patch we have been going through. We will turn the corner, I have no doubt about that,” added Metsimetsi who has been no. 2 to Arthur Bartman in the absence of Itumeleng Khune.
