"It would be great to win our return match against Congo and also earn my 50th cap," says an inspired Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane ahead of Bafana Bafana's 2015 Afcon qualifier against Congo tonight.
Letsholonyane will reach his 50th cap if he is selected to play.
He adds: "I will keep on doing what I do best as long as God allows me to do that."
The in-form Kaizer Chiefs midfielder will join an illustrious group of players who reached and surpassed their 50th Bafana Bafana cap.
He will join current teammates Siphiwe Tshabalala (88), Bernard Parker (68), Itumeleng Khune (64), Siboniso Gaxa (54), Katlego Mphela and Tsepo Masilela (50).
Amakhosi’s assistant coach, the legendary Doctor Khumalo, retired with 50 caps under his celebrated name.
The other players who donned the Gold and Black jersey and reached the milestones are Siyabonga Nomvete, Shaun Bartlett, John ‘Shoes’ Moshoeu, Lucas Radebe and Neil Tovey.
Tickets for the qualifier are still available at Computicket outlets and also at Shoprite/Checkers, Shoprite and Checkers stores countrywide.
They are selling at R50 and R100.
Bafana Bafana are set to play Congo on Wednesday, October 15, at the Peter Mokaba Stadium with the Afcon qualifier set to start at 20:05.
