The dreadlocked midfielder speaking to kaizercheifs.com said that he had put his disappointments behind him and is looking forward to carrying on where he left off during the preseason before getting injured against the Orlando Pirates.
“I’m delighted to be back at training with the rest of the guys. It was disappointing to sustain an injury when I was feeling on top of my game but these things happen in football. I want to thank the Technical Team, my teammates, my family, supporters and the Management for the support they game me while I was injured,” said the Soweto born midfielder - also revealing that Orlando Pirates player, Kaiku did apologize to him for the overzealous tackle that saw him sitting out for six weeks.
Yeye showed no signs of rustiness at training this week and he paid tribute to the Club’s medical team for getting him back in shape, “We have a top medical team here and credit to them that I came back quicker than expected. I also worked hard and followed the programme that I was given in ensuring that I recover on time,” he said.
“I am now looking forward to fighting for my place in the team and the sooner I play the better. I have been out of the game for a long time and can’t wait to don the black and gold jersey,” he concluded.
