Midfield maestro, Reneilwe Letsholonyane believes that the Class of 2012 have character to do even better this season.

The White City, Soweto-born was at his best on Tuesday grabbing a well taken brace and came inches close to claim his first hat-trick in the elite ranks.

It was also the first time that the Bafana Bafana midfielder scored in the Absa Premiership this season having scored Chiefs’ first goal this season in the MTN8 against Mamelodi Sundowns.

“I was able to get into very good areas against Moroka Swallows and credit to my teammates who delivered quality balls I am happier that we won the game more than anything else. We wanted to continue winning and I am happy that we achieved our objective coming to this game,” said Letsholonyane speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after the thrilling encounter that had both sets of fans sitting on the edge of their seats for 90 minutes.

Letsholonyane continued; “I also think the team showed a lot of character coming back to win the game after we allowed Swallows to come back twice. We never gave up and showed a winning mentality. Character can at times make a difference between winning and losing.

“I do think though we made things a little bit difficult for ourselves against Swallows. We tend to relax at times when we score first something that we need to work on.

The Club’s most industrious player in the evening, Letsholonyane was happy to finally score in the league and is hoping many will come this season; “I was delighted to score after such a long time. It is always a good feeling when your ball hits the back of the net.

I am hoping to score more but as I said; it is more important to win games as the team as compared to scoring the goals and end up with a draw or lose,” concluded Letsholonyane.
