George Lebese came under the spotlight last week after missing a last minute penalty having pulled one goal back for the Glamour Boys after coming in as a substitute against Golden Arrows.
Chiefs ended up losing the game despite putting up a good fight in the second half after being 2 goals down in the first half.
“It is not easy to join Chiefs and become a star overnight,” warned Zwane speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Tuesday.
“I have been impressed by the likes of George Lebese and Mandla Masango. They have improved tremendously in the past couple of seasons. They have the potential to make it big at Chiefs,” said the player who won two league championships with the Amakhosi.
“The supporters need to be patient with them and give them all the support they need. At times, as a player, you can start off slowly in your career and finish off on a high note like it happened with me. I have no doubt that the next generation of players will bring more glory to the Club.
“I have watched a player like Lucky Khune for instance. He is talented but with time he will get there…we need to be patient with him. He together with the other younger players have been working very hard at training and that is why a player like George is coming up nicely now.
Zwane also revealed that he has been impressed by Lincolin “Harare” Zvasiya, a 20 year-old Zimbabwean international who is yet to make his debut for the Club.
“He reminds me a lot of a player who once played here when I was young; Paul Motaung. Lincolin is a fighter just like Paul. He reads the game very well and is also very good with the ball on his feet. He is already an international with Zimbabwe at a young age and this is going to benefit the Club.
