Kaizer Chiefs will this evening welcome Baroka to the FNB Stadium when they play their first DStv Premiership home game of the 2021-21 season.

Amakhosi kicked off their league season last week against TS Galaxy in Nelspruit and the game ended goalless, while today’s opponents, Baroka were victorious against Marumo Gallants, scoring two goals on Saturday in the Limpopo derby.

After introducing him as a second half sub in the last two matches, coach Stuart Baxter has decided to start today’s game with Keagan Dolly in the starting eleven. The player has one assist so far after setting up a goal for Khama Billiat in the MTN8 game against Sundowns. He comes on for Kgaogelo Sekgota.

Goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma retains his starting berth after keeping a cleansheet in Sunday’s game against Galaxy. He will be deputised by Itumeleng Khune.

The defence is the same as it was in the last two games with Sifiso Hlanti on the left and Njabulo Blom at right-back. Daniel Cardoso and Mulomowandau Mathoho will partner in central defence.

Last weekend’s man of the match Cole Alexander and Phathutshedzo Nange will be in midfield for the home team. They will have Billiat and Dolly’s support on the left and right, respectively.

Bernard Parker will play the attacking midflieder role for the Glamour Boys as he assists goalpoacher Samir Nurković.

Parker will wear the skipper’s armband once again.

The  match’s referee is Philangenkosi Khumalo. He will be assisted by Lalelani Mngadi and Xoloani Hlatshwayo. The fourth official is Abrahma Mashala.

Amakhosi’s first DStv Premierhip home match of the season against Bakgaga Ba Ga-Mphahlele will kick off at 17:00 at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. No spectators will be allowed in the stadium. The game will be shown live on SuperSport’s PSL Channel 202 on DStv and carried by various SABC Radio stations, with regular updates of the match on Twitter @KaizerChiefs.
