Khune, Kwinika, Billiant, Matlou Back For Chiefs vs Galaxy

A busy week of three matches continues for Kaizer Chiefs this evening when they face TS Galaxy in their second successive home game in the DStv Premiership. This game will take at FNB Stadium, following Saturday’s encounter against Chippa United at Amakhosi’s alternate home, Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Chiefs had their good run of form derailed by the loss to in-form Chippa United and the team is determined to do better this evening at home against Galaxy.

Galaxy have not seen competitive action in just over 10 days, and as always, they will be motivated to do well against Amakhosi. The Mpumalanga-based team have struggled recently, failing to register a win in their last seven outings.

Looking at line-up, Coach Arthur Zwane has made four changes to the team, as some of the players who started the last match against Chippa aren’t available for different reasons. Goalkeeper Brandon Petersen has been granted paternity leave to be with his expectant wife and will be replaced by Itumeleng Khune, who is back from injury. In defence, Saturday’s goal scorer, Siyabonga Ngezana, who didn’t finish the last match after picking up an injury, will be replaced by Zitha Kwinika. Up front Chiefs will miss Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, whose spot in the team will be taken by Khama Billiat, while attacking midfielder Lehlogonolo Matlou will come in for Kgaogelo Sekgota.

The team will adopt a 4-3-3 formation this evening.

Khune is in goal for Amakhosi.

Edmilson Dove is joined by Kwinika at the centre of Amakhosi’s defence. The full-backs have not changed, with S’fiso Hlanti playing on the left and Reeve Frosler running on the right.

Njabulo Blom will hold the defence, working with Yusuf Maart central midfield. They will have Matlou in front of them.

The attacking trio will be made of up of Keagan Dolly on the left-wing and Ashley Du Preez on the right, with Billiat leading the attack.

Khune is back to reclaim the captain’s armband.

The man in the middle is referee Thokozani Mkhize. He will have Khamusi Razwimisani and Karabo Baloyi as his assistants. Patrick Marametsi is the fourth official.

The Glamour Boys and the Rockets will kick their exciting match off at 19:30 at FNB Stadium in Nasrec. This DStv Premiership match will be live on SuperSport’s PSL Channel 202 on DStv and various SABC Radio stations, with regular updates of the match on Twitter @KaizerChiefs.
