New head coach Ernst Middendorp has decided to make numerous changes compared to the starting line-up the previous coach fielded for the league game against Golden Arrows. Some changes are tactical, others had to be made due to injuries.

For example, Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Mulomowandau Mathoho are both out with a long-time injury, while Itumeleng Khune has a cut to his hand and is therefore left out of the squad.

Willard Katsande will miss the game due to suspension. It means that in the absence of Khune and Katsande, George Maluleka will wear the captaincy armband.

Kgotso Moleko comes in for Mphahlele, Daniel Cardoso for Mathoho, Virgil Vries for Khune and Siphelele Ntshangase for Katsande. Mario Booysen is also back in the starting XI, replacing Teenage Hadebe.

Chiefs will host SuperSport United in an Absa Premiership encounter played at Nelspruit’s Mbombela Stadium. Kick-off is at 19:30.

The referee is Victor Hlungwani.
