Kaizer Chiefs reserve coach Vela Khumalo has urged his young charges to maintain their consistency as they prepare to face Marumo Gallants in the fourth round of the 2026/27 DStv Diski Challenge (DDC).

The young Amakhosi have enjoyed a perfect start to the campaign, recording three consecutive victories, beating the Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Richards Bay reserve teams.

“We have had a good start but it’s important to stay focused and remember that the season is a marathon. Consistency will be key as we move forward,” Khumalo emphasised.

Reflecting on the challenge ahead, he added, “Gallants reserves are never easy. They gave us a tough time last season, but this is a new campaign and a different ball game. We know what needs to be done on the pitch and we plan to give our best.”

The fixture forms part of the DStv Diski Festival, which will feature several matches at the same venue.

Chiefs and Gallants will lock horns at 12:00 midday on Sunday at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in KwaMhlanga. Amakhosi supporters are encouraged to come out in numbers to back their team and enjoy an entertaining day of football.
