He’s had the taste of goals this season has Chiefs reserve team center forward Wandile Duba and he is confidently calling on Amakhosi fans to expect more from him.

Chiefs’ hat-trick hero from their 4-0 win over Marumo Gallants last week is clearly in the mood to carry on finding the back of the net and is targeting more goals.

When Chiefs take on Chippa United on Sunday at the Wolfson Stadium is a sports stadium in KwaZakele close to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), in their next game in the Multi Choice Diski Challenge, Duba wants his name to be on the scoresheet.

With coach Vela Khumalo’s team back to near full strength the Chiefs reserves have scored eight goals in their last two games – and Duba is oozing confidence after his hat-trick against Gallants.

“I am happy I scored a hat-trick against Marumo Gallants. I wish to thank my team- mates for creating the opportunity to score the goals. If it was not for my team-mates, I was not going to score this hat trick ” Duba says modestly.

He believes that the team were well prepared for the Gallants clash and will be again for the Chippa encounter.

“Credit must go to the coaching team, we worked hard throughout the week. They took us through hard training this week again and hence the results,” says Duba.

The youngster, whose home is just South down the highway from Chiefs village at Naturena, is happy to use the game time with Chiefs reserves to build to bigger things.

“I hail from Lenasia and recently joined Kaizer Chiefs Reserves. The supporters must expect more goals from me. I have set my ambition to score more goals since the start of this year and I want to be in the list of the top scorers in the DStv Diski Challenge,” says Duba, as he clearly has no shortage of confidence.

In addition to his goals against Marumo Gallants, he was also on target in a 4-2 away win back in November last year against Baroka. More goals for Chiefs this weekend will help them climb up the table.

The game against Chippa will be their 14th of the current campaign.
